Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 22, 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites and mobile applications place on your device when you visit them. They allow the Service to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so you don't have to re-enter them every time you use the Service. Similar technologies include web beacons (pixel tags), local storage, and device identifiers, which are covered by this policy as well.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

We use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Essential Cookies: These are necessary for the Service to function. They enable core features like authentication, security, and session management. You cannot use the Service without these cookies.
  • Preference Cookies: These remember your settings and preferences, such as your language, theme (light/dark), and playback settings, so you don't have to configure them each time.
  • Analytics Cookies: These help us understand how users interact with the Service so we can improve it. They collect anonymous, aggregated data about page visits, feature usage, and performance.
  • Functional Cookies: These enable enhanced features, such as remembering your recently played tracks and personalized recommendations.
  • Advertising Cookies: If we display advertising, these cookies may be used to measure ad performance and deliver more relevant ads. Third-party advertising partners may set their own cookies.

3. Third-Party Cookies

In addition to our own cookies, we use third-party services that may set their own cookies on your device:

  • Base44: Backend infrastructure, authentication sessions, and payment processing.
  • Google: Authentication (Google OAuth), analytics, and advertising.
  • Shopify: Merchandise store sessions and cart management.
  • Instagram & Facebook: Social sharing features and embedded content.
  • Apple & Google Play: App store analytics and, where applicable, subscription management.

These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies. We encourage you to review them.

4. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies to:

  • Authenticate you and keep you logged in during your session.
  • Remember your preferences and settings.
  • Track your listening history for personalized recommendations.
  • Remember items in your cart or checkout flow.
  • Analyze traffic and usage patterns to improve the Service.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats.
  • Measure the effectiveness of advertising and promotional content.
  • Provide social sharing features.

5. Cookie Duration

Cookies may be either "session" or "persistent":

  • Session Cookies: Temporary cookies that are deleted when you close the app or browser. Used for things like keeping you logged in during a single session.
  • Persistent Cookies: Remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them. Used for things like remembering your preferences between sessions.

6. Managing Cookies

You have several options for managing cookies:

  • Device Settings: You can manage cookies through your browser or device settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. However, some features of the Service may not function properly if you disable essential cookies.
  • App Settings: You can manage notification preferences and certain data collection through the app's settings page.
  • Opt-Out Links: For third-party analytics and advertising cookies, you may be able to opt out through the third party's opt-out page (e.g., Google Ads Settings, Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out).
  • Clearing Cookies: You can delete existing cookies through your browser or device settings at any time.

7. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers and devices offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is currently no industry consensus on how to interpret DNT signals, we do not currently respond to them. However, you can manage cookies through the methods described in Section 6.

8. Mobile Device Identifiers

In addition to cookies, the Service may use mobile device identifiers (such as advertising IDs on iOS and Android) for analytics, fraud prevention, and advertising measurement. You can reset or limit the use of these identifiers through your device's privacy settings:

  • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising
  • Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Reset advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalization

9. Your Consent

By using the Service, you consent to our use of cookies and similar technologies as described in this policy. If you do not consent, you should not use the Service or should disable cookies through your device settings (though some features may not work properly).

For users in jurisdictions that require explicit consent for non-essential cookies (such as the EU under the GDPR or the UK under the Data Protection Act), we will seek your consent before setting non-essential cookies, through a cookie consent banner or similar mechanism where available.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. We will post the updated policy within the app and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes consent to the updated policy.

11. Contact

For questions about this Cookie Policy or our use of cookies, please contact us through the app's support features.
